My first snow trekking with Invincible NGO

21st of December, I just arrived at Dalhousie. Honestly I have no clue what is Dalhousie before, but Ive looked for so much information about that place before I came here, and I need to prepare my warm clothes and also jackets with me. It was a great journey, went through 27 hours by train from Ahmedabad to Pathankot, and by car for approximately 5 hours by car. It was really cold when I just arrived, and I have to take a rest after so long journey, and I have to be ready for another Journey.

The next day, we went around the dalhousie, went to some markets, drink chai (again) I really love chai here and bought some things. here are the pics of me around Dalhousie

We tried so many foods here, and I liked it. On the next day, the real challenge is coming.. we went snow trekking to kalatop for 3 days and 2 nights. it was really great and scary at the same moment because firstly we had to trek for about 6 hours to Kalatop by bringing our bag, its heavy but the scenery was pretty awesome..

and here we go after trek for 6 hours, its high and I am very tired but since its not my first time to trek the mountain so I am fine with it. we just arrived at Kalatop. it was pretty colder than Dalhousie, the temperature even close to -2 in the morning. There are so many signs of many wild animals like black bears, wolves that live in Kalatop and we are not permitted to go outside more than 8.30 PM, so we have to be in our room before 8.30, and the water is really cold. if we put the water on the outside then it could turn into ice and we cannot use the water so we have to use it wisely.

We had first one night at Kalatop, before trek to Daikund peak. Its time to experience my first snow trekking!!! we will trek for around 5 hours to Daikund peak and its not only trekking its also snow trekking. I gotta admit it that it was very hard and snow trek is different. we have to climb on the snow, its high and slippery. All my teams really helpful, they are very cooperative and wait for each other until summit, as we go there, we saw so many beautiful scenery and good things.

these are the pictures of our snow trekking, we went to summit in one line, one by one. but the weather isnt really cold since we always keep moving and it feels warm inside. but obviously we still need the jacket, gloves and so on. we also drink chai (tea) again on the way and eat some maggies (of course)

Finally we got there ! its Daikund peak !

it was really amazing, its so high and cold. but all the pain suddenly go when we just arrived there because it was breath taking. I love to be there but we cannot be there for a long time since its very cold there and we should go back before the sun goes down. I had a good time for 3 days and 2 nights here and I will never forget all the things that have happened. Thanks a lot Invincible NGO and all the participants :)
