Traveling in Manali!!

After coming from the adventurous trek, we were going for another adventure.. Yes, we were going for River Rafting, the main thrilling part here was, that already it was too cold and the water was even colder. Many times, the water was splashing our body and it felt like we are being attacked by the river.. Luckily, I was sitting in the center so I didn’t got wet much. It took about an hour for all of us to complete River Rafting, then we cleaned ourselves and were sitting near the fire to get our body warm, this was also a moment to be remembered that sitting near the fire eating noddles sitting with our trek buddies… and after all this we went back to our hotel.

Next day finishing our lunch, we headed towards the Naggar Castle which was located at the top of Naggar. It was an ancient building, besides as a tourist place, it was also functioning as a hotel and also had a restaurant. Then we went to Tripuransundari Temple, we just prayed to god and clicked some photos there and headed to our next destination. Meanwhile when we were heading towards Nicolas Roerich’s Museum we experienced a Snowfall. All of us were very much excited as almost all of us were experiencing snowfall for the first time in our life. Nicolas was a great painter, here the museum was once used by him as the place where he showed his talent of painting, we saw many paintings and the furniture here was also something which we haven’t seen before totally different from all the places, there might be some reason behind it but no one knew about it. When we came outside the snowfall was heavy and we decided to return to our hotel…

Next day after breakfast, we went to the city of Manali by a car. It was not so much far from Naggar. The first place we visited was Rama Temple and later on Vashisht Temple located at top of the hill, by walking through the market. I decided to buy a leather Himachal jacket for my father from the market also. While visiting the Rama Temple we had to put off our shoes before we went into the temple, it was really cold that I can’t even stand longer without my shoes. In Vashisht Temple, there was a hot holy water spring that people used it to take a bath there.

After visiting the temples and shopping from the market, we took some photos with pine flowers on rocky river near Vashisht Temple with cool snowy mountain as background.

Lastly, we went to visit The Mall Road. It was like the heart of Manali where I found so many peoples wandering around. Just when we arrived, we tasted 6 in 1 flavor soft which is must tasting item here. It tasted great and was also cheap. After that, we had lunch at a Himalayan restaurant. Finishing with our lunch, we continued the visit of Mall Road through some shops that sold so many traditional clothes and foods. There was also festival which held during 2 and 6 January. At festival, we saw traditional dance named 'Nati' with Himachal traditional costumes and a band performance at the peak of the Mall Road. That was a fantastic experience I ever had.
