Bijli Mahadev Temple

25 July 2018

Bijli Mahadev is one of the sacred temples of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh located along the banks of Beas river, the Bijli Mahadev temple is one of the most prominent religious sites in Kullu. This place is full of mystery and miracles. We had to walk to the top 2 kilometres. The temperature of the air below and at the peak is very different. When I'm at the top, the temperature is very cold, but when I'm at the below, the temperature is very hot. I found a lot of people selling some sweet rice and many stuff for praying in the Temple of “Lord Shiva”. When we arrived at The Temple, we had to remove the footwear before entering the temple. There are many statues of Lord Shiva and Shiva deity. After that, we received orange ink marks on the forehead and were given sweet rice.

On the other side,I see the Climate Action. One of which, when I headed to the top of the temple,I saw a bare tree from being struck by lightning. Dry soil and lots of scattered waste. There are still shady and green trees that grow big. Despite the heat, enthusiasm of local peoples is very high and they are also very friendly. In the Temple area, very difficult to find a trash bin. I saw a horse carrying human necessities such as rice sacks. I am saddened by the horses because the horse must carry the goods with heavy payload and through the steep road. If they are hungry,a horse eats grass and drink water in puddles. I am very happy to visit this temple and see condition of nature and great Climate Change. It can improve me to remain caring and loving to the nature.

Soyal Village,Naggar Tehsil

Kullu District,Himachal Pradesh.

27 July 2018

Soyal is a village in Naggar Tehsil in Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh State,India. Soyal is very beautiful and natural place. I can feel close to nature, the sound of birds chirping, waterfalls, and other natural sounds. To go to the waterfall,we passed the streets of rocks on the right side there are several houses of local peoples in Soyal Village. The air temperature here is very cold and foggy.

On foot,I saw a lot of green moss growing on the rock. Some dry rubbish strewn on the street and very smelly. Some plants in this place trampled by tourist. When we reached the waterfall,we observed the swift flow of water. I saw a fallen tree in the middle of it’s swift stream of water

This is a picture of the tree due to Climate Change.

Dry and there are fungus stuck to the tree.

This tree can not grow leaves anymore, just become

a growing nest of fungi and parasites.

Enjoy the beauty of forest by the river and absorb the peace which will leave you with an unforgettable experience. Walking through the coniferous forest of the great mountains of Himachal frequently allows the mind to forget that they are on the same planet as where their city lives are.

Connecting with nature while disconnecting with the world is the key here.
